The Transition ad is very annoying. It keeps popping up and won't let me play Freecell.

I just called that company and complained. They were unaware of it, and the lady I spoke to said she would contact their webmaster people and let them know about it. She apologized multiple times and she they would never knowingly do that. I told her it was almost certainly Valueclick that was at fault, and she agree that was the likely scenario. They're supposed to contact me back to tell me what will happen. We've got to try, as a civilization, to stamp out this selfish intrusive attitude. I won't post it here, but their phone # is easily available on the net, if anyone wants to followup. But I suspect it may stop. At least I hope so. I'll post a followup if they do get back to me. If enough people take a stand against this kind of crap, we can stop it, or minimize it at least.

Or read the "ads" link on the left. That'll likely be quicker and will stop all take-over ads. Denny

I use a regular iPad (basic apple- no add ons) and I get no pop up ads. I do have to highlight a card from the bottom prior to play.

I know how to avoid the ads, and it works, if I want to disable other functions that I'd prefer to keep in the same browser. But that's my choice, and I'm fine with that. What I really object to is marketers that think it's their "right" to intrude on someone else's time/experience/etc., in such a way, and I'd like to stop it. Not only here, but stop it period. I know I'm perhaps a voice in the wilderness, but as we've often heard "all it takes is one person". That's not always true, of course, but a few years ago, when we were having a problem with one particular advertiser like this, I contacted that company (don't remember what it was now, but it's somewhere buried in the archives, because I reported on that like I'm doing with this one), and they stopped that ad. So I have a small history of success in doing this. I'm just a person that likes to stand up to things I perceive as wrong, or as an injustice, or someone taking advantage of others. Yes, I know this is a minor thing in the grandiose scheme of things, but I just think we need to be drawing some lines here. Just today there's a report out of something called "canvas fingerprinting" that's like a cookie fingerprint for each of us. [See link below.] We seem to be laying down like sheep to these entities. I'm not against advertising (in theory), and I think it's fantastic that Denny can collect some coinage and donate that to worthy causes. It's just a whole different issue (in my book) when someone takes advantage of such a situation. How is it different from a bully on a schoolyard pushing a smaller kid out of a swing so that he can use it? I just think such activity is immoral, and we ought not to take it. In fact, I think it should be illegal. To put it another way, if we let 'them' get by with this stuff, "then the terrorists will have won". That may be an exaggeration, but it's the same construct, imo. Sorry....down from soapbox......I think....

Denny, When I open Freecell to play, the Ace of Clubs is in the upper left corner of the green Freecell screen. The game won't load. Hitting the refresh button simply says a game is saved even though there wasn't a game being played. I've tried closing out completely several times and reopening and even waited a day before trying again. I use IE 7. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Thanks for any help in how to fix this.

Ok, from your description I can deduce, let's see, well, nothing. What browser? What browser version? What operating system? What all have you tried? Have you read the problems page and tried another browser?
