I've often wondered what is the significance of the two statistics shown for each game - moves, card moves. Anyone?

1 move corresponds to you transferring a card or group of cards from one column to another, or moving a card to or from a freecell. Card moves counts all the moves the computer makes in executing these moves. So for example, moving a column of 2 cards to another column would count as 3 card moves (1st card to a freecell, 2nd card to the new column, card from freecell back onto 2nd card), but this would only count as 1 move for the move statistic. Basically the point of the two is to measure how efficiently a player solves games on average.

I never, ever, try to be "efficient"!! I try to be absolutely safe, and almost always make extra (unnecessary) moves!

When I play in 8x4 streak mode, my objective is to solve it with the least possible number of cards. So I usually spend much more time there compared to tournament mode.
