Just finished a game and got redirected to ieshesciencefiction.org and a screen that said "Urgent Chrome Update" with a "Download Now" button. The url for the button points to a .zip file. Anyone else seen this? I'm pretty sure this is not my PC.

I think any Chrome updates come through the browser. I saw this a few months ago, and of course I ignored it. Didn't get any more attempts to supply the update.

The "ad" replaced the freecell.net tab, so pretty sure it was a redirect. Anyway has not reoccurred. Hopefully most users are savvy enough to not click on the payload.

Tell you what II did, way out of character for me. I was on a site that I find typically to be safe. But I got this "You have one message" link showing. Out of curiosity, I clicked on it. What came up was a notification about my commuter having viruses and such, and giving me the 800-number for "Tech support." Locked really "authentic." Of course, I closed it out and shut it down. It appears no harm was done, but I hare Zone Alarm Extreme Security running plus Free Malwarebytes. Since then, some stray malware have been found on the computer and eradicated. Never will do that again! (By teh way, NEVER accept a "scan" by some apparent computer anti-malware company, offering 'o scan you r computer to identify hazards. The least is they will "find" problems that don't actually exist, and the worst is you have given them temporary access to the heart of your computer and its many files, booth personal and business, and also allowed them to plant whatever they care to!

Hey Snowguy, you'd better check your computer again....it looks like it affected your typing and scrambles up the spelling on periodic words. ;-)

My typing totally sucks. Period. It would be the same on your computer! Some errors are replicable time after time, and I catch that one most of the time: after typing t, I follow with e, before h, in any word that starts that way, including, of course, "the" = "teh." (And I am the master of the fat finger, without actually having same.)

BIGGER Keyboard??? II have enough trouble with 26 letters and 10 numbers and all that other stuff. How many letters would be on a bigger keyboard?
