this is definitely not for everybody, but i'm blown away by it. i forget how i first came to encounter the movie Genghis Blues, but its super fascinating in multiple ways. Kongar was one of the major elements of it, and this vid is of just him and a guitar playing in a very personal and relaxed setting. its more than 8 minutes but i was transfixed for every second. my brain is drawn to paleo, visceral and aboriginal things, i can see this guy with a modern classical guitar in front of a roaring fire thats spewing embers high into a star filled sky and its all a quarter million years ago. somehow i think bagpipes and a didge could also be involved. again, its not for everyone.

mudman introduced me to this guy, Mathias Duplessy, he's a world class guitarist and throat singer and of course isn't for everybody. i think he is the bee's knees.
