I assume (think?) you're talking about tonight's "Nova" episode?? It was far less than it could have been, or should have been; but, imo, it got pretty good the last half hour (of the 2-hour show). Movements of ancient peoples, and the anthropology of same, and even moreso the extraordinarily complicated and convoluted DNA record are to me absolutely fascinating. Along with cosmological questions, such things are among the most riveting topics humans can contemplate. To think, just in the last 5 years it's been shown that we (all non-subsaharan African humans) have 1-2-4% Neanderthal DNA, the existence of Denisovans, the existence of floresiensis, and more information about dead-end hominids than we could have earlier imagined. Mind-expanding stuff.
