Hello from Down Under (Perth)! We go on stage for the first show of our Oz and NZ tour later tonight. I don't know for sure if it was on purpose that we're on a different continent than usual or not for what's transpired, but I must say it's a different perspective. And nice to get warm for a month or so! I thought you all might want to get a bit of insight into what my man and I did the other day for the POTUS and Michelle (I just love her!) and their loyal servants. It was an emotional event. Here's a bit about it that somebody wrote. http://www.backstreets.com/setlists.html Although the performance may not be released to the public (I don't know), this is the last song he did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__BORWT33p0 And I don't like to show myself off, but I got to sing on this one, which really seems to fit what we must do for each other as we go forward. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmUG1ffgKFw

Why hottie......are you trying to insinuate I'm trying to skirt around Denny's prohibition on politics and religion? You know I'm a big music guy. But since you've done your insinuatin'...........I will point out that .1% of the next four years has already passed!

Just statistics: As of now, 94.93% of those "next 4 years" have now receded into history. Musical accompaniment open to interpretation/offerings....... Patti? "Better Days"? Too early to say, maybe?

As I've said when he passed away a few months ago, Bill Withers' "Lovely Day" seems fitting too. Or Lou Reed's "Perfect Day".

As of this writing.............99.99+% of 'those' last 4 years have come and gone. It's been a looooong, looooooong four years. In multiple ways, it indeed may have been the end of the world as we [knew] it. But of course that's technically true every day, right? That said.............I think it's been even worse than I imagined - or even could have imagined. And again..............................I don't have an music that would be appropriate. Does this transcend music..............or does somehow music transcend this? Or both? In any event............let us be thankful for what we have left, and can hopefully re-build that "world as we know it" in some new, better way.

The image of his last shit in the White House is going to be hard to purge from my mind. Perhaps, they could ship the commode to his "presidential" library for future display. I can hear the tour guide now. . . "Ladies and gentlemen, here is where, on his final morning as president, Donald J. Trump took his. . . . . . . ."

Noon today, threw down a shot of Hennessy, I don't drink cognac, and I don't drink this early, but, seemed appropriate. Then I loaded "Dancin' in the Street" on the phone and hobbled my crippled up old ass down to the road and though can't shake it up like I once could, but damn it felt good. Not saying it's gonna be a perfect world, just hoping we can dial back the crazy.

For the past months, one of the neighbors has been flying a huge American flag above an equally huge "TRUMP 2020" campaign flag atop a 100-foot pole. Around noon today, those two flags were replaced with the Texas "Lone Star" flag. I guess he is no longer a proud American.

The reason I didn't suggest any music was because this occasion is so epic. It's needs to be something more Shakespearian. But I don't know what. Maybe it does transcend any musical selection.

The occasion is epic for certain. I would not want to waste a good song on someone not so epic. The good thing is the train has left the station and if you don't get on board, well then there's another one in four years if you don't mind waiting. What I think what would be more fitting is "He ain't Heavy" by the Hollies for Biden. The weight of a nation can be pretty heavy. All The Way!
