Why are the pop up adds impossible to close? Clicking on "close" does not do anything, same when you click on the "X". Only way to get back to Freecell is to close the tab and then log back in. REALLY ANNOYING!!!

k1066, the pop-up ads are not *designed* to close. The "X" is a faux one, and is even perhaps designed to acknowledge and register as a "click". As I stated earlier, any ad company that allows, encourages, or facilitates such activity is being evil in so doing, strong as that language is - because it is clearly being purposely deceptive. The suggestions by ix and Punster often work, and the most sure way is to pay the $12/year for Denny's no-ad version of the site, which most users consider a bargain. Personally, I've contacted a couple of the companies directly whose ads have been so used in the past, and it got one of them stopped. The other one was hard to tell. If such companies get enough complaints, it's much more likely such things will stop, or significantly decrease.
