Denny, I thought you were gone until you responded to that 'enter key' thread. But since you are checking in on us....I got a question... In the 9x4 All-Time list, the number one person, Rebecca1, has a strange anomaly. 'She' has won one more game than she has played. What's up with that? I've tried to guess but I've got nothin'. This is a "known" bug, and has been discussed before. I think Denny proclaimed it either too deep in the code to safely fix, or not worth it - not sure which. I may be wrong, but I think there are at least 2 examples of it.

Do you remember what it is? Like...what is the corrected data? Two obvious ways for it to be erroneous. J

No, I don't remember the details of his explanation; been too long and I thought it to be a trivial bug, if that's all that came from it. And indeed, there are at least 2 examples of it. There may be more; I'm not gonna take the time to look. I can't find that discussion semi-quickly, but did find these two earlier mentions of it, including Rebecca1 asking about it herself: Date: Tue Jun 5 02:29:21 2012 User: Rebecca1 Message: Hi Denny, look at my 9x4 score: I have played 3390 games, everything won. But your system count only 3389 games. So I have a won rate 100,03 % ??? Rebecca1 -- That's in this thread: http://www.freecell.net/f/c/disctopic.html?code=10729&replies=35 ---------- The following month, Lawrence55Dee brought it up, and Tony points out that the same situation exists in 12x3. It may have been observed in others, too. See link below.... Others here will remember more about it than I do, as I'm not a coder (not really). Tony may even remember the details. But neither of these threads is the one I was looking for, in which it was discussed in more depth.

Ok, I found a few more threads (from 2008, 2010 and 2011) about it: http://www.freecell.net/f/c/disctopic.html?code=8897&replies=9 Note ^ that Huffy says it has been there for years, and he should know. ------- http://www.freecell.net/f/c/disctopic.html?code=9653&replies=6 ------- And for this one, see *only* the last post (CubicSprock): http://www.freecell.net/f/c/disctopic.html?code=6738&replies=61 ------- And way back in 2008: http://www.freecell.net/f/c/disctopic.html?code=6201&replies=3 ------- Yet more: http://www.freecell.net/f/c/disctopic.html?code=10926&replies=1 ------- http://www.freecell.net/f/c/disctopic.html?code=10776&replies=6 ------- None of those many threads has the response from Denny that I remember, but I'm almost certain he responded once upon a time. Anyone else remember it?

This goes back to at least 2006. See the link *within* my link below, at the bottom of that thread.

Link: Tony has been gaming the system since 2006 (lol)
