@ wasjun: yes, the "winnable" variants are all winnable! The "selection of games" are the same as for the corresponding regular variants, except that the un-winnable games are not dealt! I believe that there have been reports of the system sometimes switching to the regular variant, but I don't know the circumstances. If that is what has happened, then I think that your w6x5 streak will still be intact!! More likely, imo, is that your game is winnable, and you just aren't seeing the solution (yet). I guess you won't know until you give up! GOOD LUCK!!! -Tony

Yes, they've all been solved by a computer. However, there's a bug where some people have thought they were playing winnable when they actually weren't. Others can elaborate on the details. Good luck!

I think the bug has to do with switching computers while playing winnables but I've never figured out exact repro. Maybe share the problematic game number so others can try. Denny

If he knew the game #, he could look it up!!! He won't know the game # until he wins, or quits, the game! However, he might like to share a snapshot of the card layout???

How do you suspect a game is impossible without having even played it?

wasjun, did you try posting it to the pictures page ? Go into one of the variants that you are listed on, then scroll to the bottom of that page, then click on "User pictures". From the you should see near the top it says => Wanna see what some of your friends look like? Wanna post your own picture? And you should be able to click on the "post your own picture" line.

wasjun, I just checked and you don't have any pictures out there, but you can click on the "about" link on the top left side of this page, then you;ll see near the upper right hand part of the page, a "pictures" link. Click on that, then you should see "post your own picture" line.

Denny, it's not a case of switching machines. It happens when one closes the browser, as one poster (sorry I can't at the moment recall who it was, but it was regular poster) recently (in the last few months). This poster did experiments and noted it *always* happens when closing and then re-opening a browser. However, for me, that is not the case, as I essentially never close a browser. I have posted numerous times on this phenomenon, and there are several threads about it. I'll link only a few of them below, the first of which has a detailed explanation - as well as this response from you: "Ah, misunderstood. Thought is was the old winnable vs. normal bug. Yeah, I don't think I've ever attempted to maintain streak vs. tournament mode state." If you want to read a few more threads about it, here is one: http://www.freecell.net/f/c/disctopic.html?code=12578&replies=4 And more globally: http://www.freecell.net/f/c/disctopic.html?code=11797&replies=24 http://www.freecell.net/f/c/disctopic.html?code=12672&replies=9 There are others. For me, it often just seems to come out of the blue, with no rhyme or reason, or precipitating action. And since the WWC ended, I don't play winnables anymore, so I no longer see it.
