The Zone: Hard to define, but you know when you are in it ... Anticipation, Vision, Speed, and even Luck ... recently experiencing some slippage ... how do you get back into The Zone?

I know. I was in it early December, felt I could do no wrong, always knew when some plan of mine was good and when it wasn't quite good enough, didn't have to scramble to recover from some lousy position since I avoided them all in the first place... Been out the last 10 days though.

I was there for the 8x3 hot streak a week ago. Maybe made a few miscues but turned out those were correctable. It’s almost like the cards to play get a glow around them. But, it vanished within an hour and even swung into the un-zone a bit later. Maybe WRAC was in the zone today for the Freakout.

Although I finished ahead of Hop by over 9 minutes, he started about 18 minutes late, so, wherever I was, I didn't quite achieve Hop Zone. Actually, I thought I was in the Zone in last night's Freakout, winning 3 games that seemed likely unwinnable after first play, only to watch racingyou fly through the tournament, coming within 4 minutes of me despite starting 46(!) minutes late. Zones are clearly relative.

I've been popping into the Zone once or twice per week lately. Tonight's Freakout being one of those times. Of course, this is always balanced by not being in the Zone the other half-dozen times I sit down to play. The brain is forever re-wiring itself so you just have to sit down to play when the wires are aligned to solve freecell deals.

I just watched the replay of the freakout. Pretty impressive Dr.B seeing as racingyou started on time and you didn't. You're not supposed to give her a six-win lead and then win by two! I noticed she did give a late chase on those two solitary wins of yours but you'd already won the tourney.
