Having listened to Collinsworth for a long time, this game was his worst ever. Endlessly repeating himself, multiple misstatements, and general giddiness that I have never seen in him. Not sure what his "last comment" was, but I'm sure it was consistent with his overall poor performance this evening.

I agree completely. Chris is usually much better than this. He seemed edgy and a bit partisan. But what a game! Exciting!

If the ball doesn't touch the ground and two steps are in, it's a catch. They are killing it with reviews.

When Corey Clement made that catch at the back of the end zone, he initially had the ball a bit precariously pressed against his shoulder pads. As he went out of bounds, he made (as I saw it) a purposeful movement to shift the ball to the usual carrying position. I did not see it as him 'bobbling' the ball. He was in complete control of it the whole time. I think the official ruling was correct. If he had truly bobbled the ball going out of bounds, it would have been incomplete. I think that distinction is what Collinsworth missed.

I'm generally not pro- or con-Collinsworth. He was a pretty good receiver in his time. And I'm also not one to worry too much one way or another about how announcers are describing action. (With the exception of Brent Musberger and his "story lines". gag gag gag) Oftentimes I'll have a game muted. Buuuuttt.....................I found myself quite dumbfounded, like you guys, about his apparently brazen pro-Patriots lean. I also don't know what "that last comment" was, but I completely concur - he was *way* off his game. That Ertz TD was really not a hard decision to make. Two *full* steps after catching the ball and lunging over the goal line. If he wasn't a runner at that point then *Jim Brown* was never a runner.

Al Michaels was biased as well. During the brief time the Patriots were leading he pronounced Brady the MVP and he never stopped saying how the Patriots always come back from behind and it will happen again. He was dull and boring, his excitement level was a C, while the game was an A+.

They both made boneheaded comments. I said so on Facebook at the time.

According to Collinsworth the Patriots won 33-27. I had to turn off the audio to watch the rest of the game after he wanted to overturn the second Eagles TD in a row
