Nope. Denny's very handy .write chat command died with the first chat death, and the freecell mailbox thing was dead even before that. Of course it wouldn't work even if it was still working, since the person would have to be visiting that mailbox or logging into chat to even know there was a message. I know I can't be counted on to regularly look at all the mailboxes I have, and that's gonna be true for everybody. The only way that could have been changed would have been via fundamental change to Denny's privacy policy (which has always been that your email address is not used for anything whatsoever except freecell password reset) plus a bunch of opt in/opt out code. He was never going to do either of those things.

(And even then it wouldn't have been a sure thing. I established my own freecell id in the time before Denny started asking for email addresses for password reset. There are a few others of us.)

Bible, you could just post here to the player you wish to contact (or post a separate thread titled to that particular person) and hope that it is seen by them. Maybe?

I have been opening a discussion under that users name. It works great as long as that user looks at discussion.
