Subject: Rip-off add: Google pays me $173 ......

The add running on freecell now with the title: "Google ad pays me $173 an hour" is a major rip-off. The ad linked to this website: http://media.fastclick.net/w/click.here?cid=170221&mid=320506&sid=35004&m=6&c=0 I knew it was likely worthless, but out of curiosity, I ordered the information kit they offered to send me for ONLY $1.95 - shipping and handling. A couple weeks later, before receiving anything, they charged about $75.00 to the same credit card I used for the first offer. They maxed out the card I used, one with a very low credit limit that I use for such purposes. I suspect that if there was more credit available, they would have charged more. The charge is not a problem. I have already contacted my credit card company and had the charges reversed. I was not surprised, either. However, I don't think that type of advertising should be runnung on Freecell.net.

I didn't think you had anything to do with them, or were aware of it - I just thought you'd want to know. I kind of suspected a problem and was watching for it. Other's might not be as careful and get stuck for a lot more.

I read the comments on the kiva article on youtube (hijack alert, hijack alert! Hi, Jack - how you doing?). A couple said 'what, you don't get interest? What's the point, then?' I will admit, I answered the google ad, in much the same spirit that I went to Kiva - you know,

Well, I could say I've had nothing but my money back from Kiva (which, with one exception, I pushed straight back in) - but I'd be lying. What else did I get? Give me your email address, and I'll send you a Kiva voucher - then you can tell me. And you can give me a hotmail email address if you're worried what I'd do with your home one. Helen

Google Ad pays me $$$ ?? ...... This ripoff add is back again on freecell.net. This one links to: jennifersmoneyblog.com. It's the same scam as: Joshmadecash.com. The way this scam works, they get you to order a CD for about $2.00 "Shipping & handling" Without any notice, you supposedly also agree to enroll in some service for which they bill $72.00 monthly to your credit card. You supposedly have a free trial, and then are billed if you don't cancel. However, it is difficlult to even find the phone number do call to cancel, then it is almost impossible to get through to talk to anyone. If you do, it is still difficult if not impossible to sucessfully cancel. I'll post some other links about this rip off.

jennifersmoneyblog.com - same as Joshmadecash.com If you see info to order the "Google biz kit" - DON'T, and be careful not to leave any information on that site, ESPECIALLY your credit card number. Here's a rip=off report on this scam. Responded to an add to work for Google. Cost was to be $1.97 for shipping of information. If a person does not read the fine print you are obligating your credit card for more than the $1.07.

The Rip-off adds are back on Freecell If you see any of these titles: Google Money Kit - Google Fast Cash - Online Cash Kit - Cash Secret Club - HANG on to your wallet and credit card. DO NOT order anthing or give out any information. The attempt is to bill you a monthly charge to your credit card or bank account, unless you "cancel" , and cancelling is impossible.

RogerB, do you really answer that shtuff? These days NOBODY even LOOKS at those ads. Those and anything else you see flashing on your screen(incl. video games, shmut, money[saving, making, investing etc] ads, screen savers, smilies, etc) ANYTHING is BAD. Dont even LOOK at them. Even those common video games you see from pogo etc. Theyre fun and even cost(which makes them seem more legit) to join but even they drop little invisible pixel bombs(single pixel info-gathering machines) onto your computer that get anything they want from you!

It is a VERY good idea to have a special low-cap credit card for net purposes, including Pay pal usage. If you sell through ebay, keep a separate low-amount checking account for pay-pal deposits too. Also, if you have occasion to actually send your actual cc# to someone through, say, Gmail or hotmail for say, an indirect purpose, send it in TWO different bodies. I had one somehow hacked out of gmail a few months ago. Lay low~
