Idk why these seem so much more difficult than 8x4. Same # of cells and one fewer column. ..actually now that I think abt it I guess it makes sense? The columns are more crowded I guess?

Anyway these scare me half to death. Haven’t gotten past 5 yet and my elo is pretty manic.

I believe 7x5 is more dificult than 8x4. And 7x4 is much more difficult than 7x5.

Not only is that true, but there are unwinnables in 7x4 (I have even hit 2 in a row), and I don't think there are any in 7x5 (or Denny removed them).

I keep forgetting abt unwinnables.

Alas, many of my losses are prob winnables. A lot of times I notice a mistake too late.

It’s weird bc when I started I flew threw them to 5, then lost. When I started again each time I could make it to 4 or so but 5 now remains elusive. They do have one plus for me which is that it forces me to focus on solve rather than speed.but makes it more annoying if I take my time and lose 🙄

Hey I made it to 6 my first time playing today so I thought omg I know what happened last night:

Beer.

..I had beer and it makes me groggy. That must be it, I thought.

Then, on 6, I play, think I’m winning, only to be one card away at the end ..which is what kept happening last night! A dumb mistake every time. Ughhh this variant is such a tease! 🤬
