Some days ago I lost a game because I forgot a preparation move before I started to play a long sequence which blocked my only free cell. I noticed the mistake early in the sequence which was, of course, totally useless. But then a miracle happened: I had lost connection so that I got an extra live ... I played the preparation move and I easily won the game. But I felt very bad. I played another game and won. I felt even worse. So I played the next game without thinking and lost. I felt very relieved.
My moral question: Would it have been ok to continue building my (long) streak even though I had actually lost the game?
I think you have answered your own question datrox. Your body rejected the stroke of good luck which we all get at some stage and you lost the will to continue. I would have been the same.
Other people would have shrugged their shoulders and said "I'll take it" as compensation for the times when they have lost a game for reasons outside their control. I believe that is OK to do but would not like to claim a new streak record that way.
Then there are the players who could not understand your question as they continue to play the game from a real deck of cards.
Maybe the interruption was divine giving you a helping hand.... And your self doubt messed up the gift. 😉
I find myself squarely in the shrug-I’ll-take-it category. Completely balances out the times where a glitch puts me back to earlier in a game and I make a mistake I didn’t make the first time.
