That was Paul Alfille’s original version of Freecell on the PLATO system. My 1st version in 1996 had 16 colors.

I don't think I have a screenshot of the original game board but this was the "front page". I still remember the outcry when I moved scores from being a simple list of the top streaks in the Java applet to a web page where I could display more columns of data. Yowie, you'd thought I was killing puppies.
