Subject: How much would you pay for Ad Free freecell?

YouTube has a basic ad-free plan for $7.99/month.  Would there be interest in ad-free options here for something like $75/year?

I'd pay for an upgrade to the ads. Let's get the high octane stuff with no filters. 

We tried this years ago. It was a pittance and totally not worth the trouble answering questions, paying for the "take money service", not to mention the time I put into implementing. Turns out people like free stuff.

Note: you were one of the relatively small number who paid for Premium.

I would happily pay $75/year!  Would that be "per person", or "per nick"?

You might be saved time implementing if we could simply make a one-off payment valid for a fixed time, leaving it up to us to pay again when it runs out. I really enjoyed having no ads and would happily go along with Dr Bombay's suggested amount. My Premium payment was per nick - nug had no ads but the aliases had to put up with them.

I am not sure how many times Mr.F needs to say, "It isn't going to happen" before it sinks in. 

Well if you just simply used venmo none of that other stuff would be necessary, would it?

Folks could just send whatever contributions they'd like, if Denny put up a venmo name.

On one hand I'm tempted to try to bring it back. Tech has changed quite a bit and there are probably sites that'll make the taking money easy.

On the other I remember the support pages I had to have for it and the number of emails about this or that issue.

I'm more tempted to try to bring back some merch. Would you buy a Freecell hat or coffee mug that said "I can quit anytime"?
