Well since this thread has turned into a big fat obituary, here is the incomparable Dawn Wells when she was a Honeybee. It was always Mary Ann.

Not sure why, but this song seems like the correct anthem for this moment in time. Is it always better the first time? Let's hope not.

I couldn't find the ideal thread for this important post. Although we have many posts in which the blues are involved, we don't have one that's just a general one for same. Anyway....................this was on PBS tonight, and is ESSENTIAL, REQUIRED listening and viewing for anyone who is into the blues. It's 1:22:31 long. Don't bother with the "Watch Preview". Just set aside an hour and 22 minutes and absorb this. It may start a bit slow, but it all counts. Some of you can probly figger out how to make it full-screen, or maybe even call it up on your TV machinery. Big-screen would be much better. Chock full of great stuff, including critical blues history. And I feel sorry for you all who've never seen him in person - especially if you didn't see him before he got to about 70. (Not that he wasn't still impressive past that landmark.) And that's a fact, Jack.

Just heard, "Let it Rain" (for the 1000th time probably). It really has one of the great guitar solos. I remember as a kid listening to a live album version with the longest and best solo ever. I, for one, can't stand hearing Layla on acoustic.

Pete Townsend was the impetus for this band being formed, for those not hep. The lead guitarist, Jimmy McCulloch, was only 15 when this was recorded. Later in Wings and with John Mayall.

Well, cellmate didn’t say who’d be first. Might have been better to say who’d be next. And, I’d argue that Bill Wyman is the old one, even though he retired from the Stones over two decades ago. On a separate note that seems to be more and more common, no cause has been reported (at least that I have seen). But, Watts was not going to be on the next tour because of needing to recover from an operation.

The hard part is what do to do next.... i'm sure its already decided. Charlie was ready to go until whatever happened.. happened. Out of respect they should cancel. The Rolling Stones is no more. But i'm sure they can still regroup in some form to continue on.
