Ok, back in action with gaming here. It wasn't my router that was out but a simple cord-to-computer cable that was defective. But...hubby is not very happy...he discovered that his precious Dish Network satellite system was go not working. Either the Hopper (only Dish customers would understand) or the receiver itself...new one being shipped today. Grrr the perils of living in a remote, not cable access area...and technology in general. In hubby's words, not mine, they "have you by the nutsac". What happened to the days when you could just put a wad of aluminum foil on the rabbit ears and things would be dandy?

I hate this variant! 220 games played leading to 15 streaks of 2 today. 13 of 15 had never won 3rd games, the other 2 led to streaks of 3 but had never won 4th games. Hard to believe almost 50% of games have been won given the subset I've played :-P (only 2 of 17 on games that I was fully trying on).

whelp looks like d16 is going to get this one. can't believe he got 6 in a row that were all in the easiest ~10% of games (based on win %, all 65%+)...of course he is more than capable of winning any winnable game so not taking anything away from him. I managed two more streaks of 2, and got a 3rd streak to 3, winning a previously unbeaten game...still couldn't get to 4 though. And now that 6 is the goal it might be time for me to concede.

I had a similarly stinky experience, although I don't think I played as much as you guys. Seemingly countless streaks of 2. And several long strings of 0-fers. My streak of 6 winnables was perhaps a more difficult path than d164280's, with a couple in the 30-40% range, but still, just the luck of the deals.

I played 22 games of 10x0 in the SSC yesterday, and didn't get dealt 3 winnable games in a row until "the end" (numbers 19-21)! I was so hoping that #22 would be winnable, but it was not to be! I think most or all here know that although I expressed it above as I did, the concept was really .5^12 represents the approximate odds of getting 12 winnable deals in a row, not that specific number. I.e., the reciprocal is the chance that any 12 consecutive deals in a row would all be winnable (OR unwinnable, in hotnurse's case). One would think, after her recent nautical adventures, that she would deserve better consideration from the dealer.

Thanks TN, but although I did get for sure 10, maybe 12 if I counted correctly, I am a poor streaker and lost on a high % win game...45> I think. But, it was fun anyway. Btw, it amazes me how a seemingly minor injury (crushed 2nd metacarpal) would take so long to heal and the intense therapy to keep the tendons gliding without adhesing down is part of the healing process. Good thing I don't work anymore!
