You just have to decide for yourself if any of them would improve your enjoyment of Denny's fine site or not. Luckily, there are options like tournaments, the streak competitions, and now hot-streak to satisfy players like me who often end up clicking too fast. byronsmoot, I'm not sure if anyone has ever one-timed a 7x3 that was higher than 63-0 before played while streaking. That's impressive.

There are not a lot of Difficulty 12 that have many failed attempts. Are you saying they don't qualify as a never won winnable because they weren't played a lot? I do apologize if I did not understand the purpose of this thread. Does it help to let everybody know that I used no external aids?

If you look back on the posts in this thread, we are generally looking for games that turn out to be winnable though they appeared to not be. Sometimes someone posts one that hasn’t been played before when it turns out to be particularly difficult. But I think we all presume all 10x6’s are winnable and relatively easy to solve. This thread will quickly be overrun if we include every game that hasn’t been played in every variant. Any interest in playing some of those tougher variants to help us find them? James

To say I was surprised at the stats was an understatement! I mean, it was kinda tricky, but not as tricky as some of the other ones I've solved recently that had higher percentages. I suspect that if I solved it in about 5 mins then it'd take Hop under 2!

I have long thought that the number of ways to begin are an important concept. A game with a lot of first choices but only one works strikes me as difficult. A game with only one way to begin, I think, is technically easier, even if it seems harder at first.

Those 6x4-5 games (and also 8x2-5) are interesting in that we have a lot of coverage, with all games getting multiple plays, but hundreds of winnable games that haven't yet been beaten.

Hey Uberman, way to go. Definitely a fantastic win for an underrated player. I’ve had one 6x4-5 win at 82-1 but 99-1 is way beyond that. What I think is interesting (because it’s a bit counter-intuitive) is that I think many of the 6x4 deals that are 40, 50, 60, or more to zero are more likely to be solvable than those that are in the 20, 30 to 0 range. That’s because the games with more attempts often have more attempts because they have more promising paths.

I tried to play that game quickly, Doctor, but needed a couple of attempts for a combined total of around 8:30. I admire anyone who can spot tricky solutions as quickly as that, so kudos to you for doing so. Sometimes there's a bit of luck involved, but I really need to be able to study the board before tackling these types - perhaps not being on the tourney scene anymore has made me too cautious.
