Message:I didn't even notice this as being particularly difficult. Maybe got lucky with the opening sequence. Still think the ELO's are wonky because the game ELO is lower than the average player ELO for 9x2x8 games.

Message:Thanks. I'm trying to work on my patience; I've always had a tendency to play too fast and therefore lose games I could have won.
If I'm patient, I can solve most of these.
If I'm not, well... I can lose 50 or more points in a day (as my Elo graph shows), so they're definitely risky and probably not best for my overall rating.
My hope is to use such losses as an incentive to SLOW DOWN and thus - from time to time - enjoy the satisfaction of winning games like the one above. :-)

Message:OK, so I came across this game during streak play, which according to the ELO is apparently winnable, although certainly not by me and my several attempts at it afterwards.
6x4 - 5 #12004
Game stats - 131/0
And this got me thinking - which 6x4 (level 5) game has the highest no. of plays without a win but is actually winnable? So I did a bit of (by no means definitive) research via the stats table, and found this one:-
6x4 - 5 #3924
Game stats - 200/0
ELO = 2539
But then I came across an even more frequently played game (#13372) which has the following stats:-
410/0
ELO = 2830
So, normally, unwinnable games in this variant have an ELO of over 5000. Is this game actually therefore winnable, do we think? Are there any masochists among us who feel like tackling it? I mean, come on......410 plays!

Oh, and I meant to type 2685 for the ELO on the 304/0 game, but the point was that it is yet another winnable, apparently. Please don't put yourself through any pain trying the others for too long!

Thanks. I agree, not only insanely difficult, but beyond the ability of any current (or former) players on this site. I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but I doubt even Hop or CS can consistently win games like this on the the 1st try... which is why nobody who consistently plays 6x4 - or similarly tough variants - is near the top of the Elo list. In my mind, your Elo remains a good 250 points higher than listed!

Message:If you are looking for the winnables with a lot of plays you can find them in game stats page sorting by "Plays" column:
As of the time I post this message, here are some top 6x4-5s:
13372 (422/0)
19507 (311/0)
3924 (209/0)
12447 (190/0)
20931 (171/0)
23507 (165/0)
...
Personally I stay away from 6x4s even in tournaments. I play them in the very end after playing others. Sometimes I cannot manage my time and no time is left to play them but it pays off most of the time because others cannot win them either even if they spend some time on them.
I find 7x3s much easier then 6x4s. And even 6x5s are a headache most of the times.

That's a nice way of thinking about it, but I suspect it's more likely that players like act, Uberman, Darkosi, and others who play anywhere have the most accurate ratings.

With the following hints it should take some of you guys less than that.
You should clear column-3 to send diamonds home up-to 6, and column-1 is like kd-ah-js-10-9-...-3-2 when doing that.
