Great job, Spud! I didn't follow all your steps, but from your description, it sounds like we solved it the same way. KD to the free cell, clear column 6. For me, the key was getting to the 7H, but as you say, it's still tricky after that. One of those games I would have thought was unwinnable if I didn't know there was a solution.

It might take me dozens of attempts but I always get there eventually - except this time. At least half the attempts on this one are by me and I have to admit defeat. I get the impression that this is the type of game where that could happen in lots of different ways before making the breakthrough, so kudos to anyone with the patience to endure that. Yes, that did confuse me a little, I don't think I've ever managed to clear column 7 at any point during my 200 attempts! Even with these hints I still can't get anywhere, must just be a complete blind spot. I think I'll leave it for a week or so and come back to it with fresher eyes (although I have tried that twice before...). Interesting that clearing the spades is the key. The deals I often have most difficulty with are those where the key is to send a lot of cards of one suit home.
