Subject: MOTF: For Premium Users Ending In June

So does this mean for those of us with memberships ending in June that we'll need to renew our premium in order to have it for life?

Wow, great question, CS! The last time I renewed I did it for two years. I would hate to go back to annoying banner ads.

Yes, that's an excellent question, CS. With a June 4 expiration date, I was thinking my timing was perfect! Now...???

I too have a June 4 expiration, but I'm still ad free, so I'm feeling pretty safe.

I'm no longer ad free, guess I'll shell out the $12 :-P

I decided NOT to go Premium in order to make it less efficient and annoying so I wouldn't be as tempted to play as much.

hehe, that sounds effective jimmyp, I definitely can't stand the ads. too late for me though I've already renewed.

I said above that I was still ad free. But now I'm not under this name. It looks like the ad free thing is only working under primary name. The ads used to be unbearable and would take over the entire page. Right now they are better behaved. jimmyp's got a good point.

You can always log on with a different user name any time you want to "enjoy" the ads.

I've tried clicking on non-game pages for weeks and can't find your ad-free offer. Which is the magic page?

It's called "premium", and it is eighth in the options list on the left side of the screen (just after "problems").

Followed link for Premium but saw nothing about "Premium for life". Do I just sign up as usual and magically get no expiration date?

Never mind - I figured it out. Just had to keep reading...DOH!

Sorry, Cubic, just got to this. I made everyone who was Premium on 2017-05-01 into a Platinum Mega Premium Lifetime Member. Actually it should be more like Platinum Mega Premium *My* Lifetime Member because our Unix timestamp runs out in 2038. I'll run this again at the end of the month in case we get any more sign-ups. Are you sure this is working, Denny? I was Premium on 5-01, but I started getting ads again on 6-04 (my expiration date). These didn't go away until I renewed on 6-07. Or did you not do the Platinum Mega thing until after the 7th?

Any non play page, such as discussion. Look to the left here, at the top of the thread. If it is not listed there then go to the play page. Read the message of the fortnight, carefully. If you still can't find it, I dunno.

Plumb-Bob: You can register two user names with your premium account. However, you may change those names any time you want, as much as you want, to any names you want. Look on the premium page right hand side under "modify usernames".

THANK YOU to RogerB (see the message of "Tue Jun 13 17:07:20 2017"). When I clicked on the link that you provided ... it took me to a page that DID show the word "premium" ... right after "problems". Then, I tried changing my "magnification" [scale] ... by using "Ctrl-(PLUS-SIGN)" and "Ctrl-(MINUS-SIGN)" to increase or decrease the "magnification". I found out something that everyone else probably already know. If I make my "magnification" SMALL enough, then the list of choices (such as "home play scores tournament instructions discussion problems premium") DOES appear (vertically) on the left hand side of my screen -- INSTEAD OF, (horizontally) on the top of my screen. ... AND, *** when *** that happens, then the word "premium" DOES appear ... right after "problems". Have a nice 6-13!

the 12 month is the premium for life version. normal (12 month) premium is ending and everyone who has an active premium membership will remain premium for life.
