would anyone be interested in an informal ongoing contest that would be part of the 8x3-7 project? i would give you a game that is giving trouble and whoever is the first to solve it claims that game. i'd keep a list of solvers and the games that they were first to solve, and post the list every five games or so. if anyone is interested, the first game is: 11294 76

Got the first one. 1/90 took a bunch of tries... I'm not the greatest solver but I love beating my head against the wall!

wow, i had spent many days on that game, the difference is my head just left little marks on the wall. all winnable games up to 13000 have now been solved. lets see what the 13-14 thousand range brings. thanks calico!
