Is it possible to stream NFL games on a phone/table/computer/TV? We've gone all Internet and the NFL is the only thing I haven't figured out. (No politics of course) Thanks, Denny

Build your self an inexpensive Home Theater PC and DVR the local broadcasts over the air. Only a partial solution but tuners work.

Denny, I've cut the cord as well, and football was the only thing I wanted to get that I couldn't with the options I was looking at. I can get all of my team's games broadcast on my local station. So, I hooked up an OTA antenna. This even gives me over 20 channels. ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX (Not Fox News/business/etc), a bunch of public broadcast channels, old movies/shows/game shows (MeTV, ThisTV, etc.) Hope that helps! [#GoPats!]

As Doug F mentioned an antenna should get you broadcast channels unless you live in the boonies. Even pretty cheap indoor ones work if you don't mind it on a wall. Experimenting with placement can be crucial. Depending on tons of factors, moving a few feet left or right or up or down can make a huge difference in reception strength of signal. Powered (a/c or USB) is the way to go. I'll link to an example antenna on Amazon. I liked plugging it into the USB port on my TV. It was only powered when the TV was turned on. That wouldn't get you games on NFL network or ESPN. If ESPN is a must have consider something like a basic Sling streaming TV package which is twenty bucks a month and includes ESPN 1 & 2. The only trouble with this route is when you start adding multiple streaming packages it is real easy to get back in the neighborhood of what you'd be paying for cable tv. Live sports has always been somewhat challenging for cord cutters.

We have an over-the-air antenna and yes, it works great. Superb picture quality. The problem is my son is into the Seahawks from Seattle where we used to live. And those games aren't typically available here in Phoenix. I'm inclined to just take to him Red Robin, a generic sports bar with lots of TVs, of the local Seahawks bar to watch the game. But that whole "I'm taking my kid to a bar" thing doesn't sound good. I will look into Sling. Their play used to be "watch your cable subscription remotely." Sounds like they're up to something different now. Thanks, Denny

Ah, sling... I was trying to think of what it was called earlier. Lots of family-friendly(ish) places offer sports on TV. Buffalo Wild Wings is one. A lot of places that are restaurant/bars... Carolina Ale House has so many different games on all at one time.

The real possibilities still belong to the cable companies or the NFL: NFL Sunday Ticket available in some markets, but for a significant price: https://nflst.directv.com/ It is rare to be eligible for this without DirectTV. However, if you know someone with DirectTV, they might be willing to share the benefits. NFL.com's Game Pass: https://nflst.directv.com/ But there's a catch: https://www.killthecablebill.com/nfl-game-pass-allows-you-to-watch-every-nfl-game-online-all-season-long/

Down here in Tampa area the Bucs have an app where we can livestream the game. Maybe look for your favorite teams and see if they have an app you can download. That said, I really don't understand the whole internet "tv" watching thing. How do you find new shows and get new information? Over the air TV, and even Cable, will force you to watch commercials of all the great upcoming shows next season. Most of these shows were crap, granted. But, some of them turned out to be my newest Monday night addiction.

I cut the cord years ago, and really missed watching my NFL team, so I subscribe to NFL Game Pass. One hundred bucks a season is certainly a lot of money, but since cutting the cord I have saved over $4,500 (and counting!), and that's my justification. Watching the games on delay is okay with me, usually I'm busy enough that I don't have time to watch them real-time. The app allows scores to be hidden, so as long as friends or relatives don't blow the outcome (** cursed phone messages **) I can re-create the suspense of the live game, streamed to my entertainment center. The nice part of delayed broadcast? Skipping the commercials!

Hulu Live is now offering NFL games in real-time. Their package is $40/month, so if you subscribe for five months (Sept. to Jan.) and then cancel, you can get any game live this season for $200. I don't know how that compares to other NFL packages. I used a similar tactic during the last Olympics and it worked out great, although I only had to pay for one month before cancelling.
