I have just finished game #66000 having started from #1 (and with one noteable exception). Is anyone else that silly or is it just me?
Hi. I'm new to this terminology and have no idea what "8x2 18117-5" etc means. Coulf someone please explain it to me? I have onle played off-line and started doing them in order from #1.
Thanks in anticipation.
#66000 cannot be found here. We have levels 1 to 12 and each level has 32768 different layouts (games). Click "instructions" on the left menu (if you are on a desktop computer). We have also different variants with different layouts. So there are a lot of different games. Much much more than 66000.
Clearly(?) AKB has been playing the MS version, and has stumbled upon this site without reading what it's all about. Welcome, AKB, and I/we suggest you first go to the "about" page from the left-hand menu, and then the "home" page, and read all about this site and what its capabilities are. It took you a long time, but you've now finally found the mecca of freecell.
Hey AKB welcome to Freecell.net. I also did that with the old MS version of freecell and recorded how I did with the games. I stopped a long time ago, because I discovered THIS site. I think you'll like it. By the way was the one exception you mentioned above game # 11982 ??? :-)
Oops, forgot to mention, I stopped somewhere past 74000. :-)
You didn't say if that one game you talked about was #11782 ??? It's the only unwinnable game in the first 100,000 games for the MS version.
Actually...............we are just a week shy of his 5-year anniversary of signing up here, and has played 367 (only) 8x4 games, but "no recent play". So he's not *totally* new. So...........I guess he's been going back and forth??
There are also some veterans who retire and come back with a new nick and ask questions about this site as if they are Alices in wonderland.
66,000 already finished is a huge "sunk cost". I.e. there's motivation to complete that task before fully getting into this happy place/rabbit hole. I think most of us here would say "Why throw good money after bad?". Just sayin'; not criticizin'.
Thanks for all the comments. I didn't realise I had actually played any games here. lol
I think the attraction of the old format (pre Windows 10) has been preferred visuals and offline.
11982 was the 'noteable exception'.
I guess I'll have to take another look.
Ouch, I meant to say 11982 and mistyped it. Oops.
