First time I heard this the hair on the back of my neck stood on end and before the song was over I was crying....not sure why.

Feel free to educate me on any blues I need to be aware of, pretty much anything post Elmore James I know about unless it's really obscure.
OH Elmore, play me some slide PLEASE:
No, if you weren't hep to Son House and Elmore James, you did *not* know the blues. You may want to avail yourself of the beaucoups blues selections within the "old music" thread herein. It's a bit of a hassle to track down specific posts, but not *that* hard by clicking on each page of that thread, and then doing a word search on that page for "blues", altho even then one might miss some stuff. But work your way through that thread, and you won't be disappointed. You will find Lightnin', B.B. (and the 'other' Kings), Buddy, Johnny W., Mississippi John Hurt and others of the North Miss. clade, the Wolf, John Lee, Muddy, Willie, and on and on. There will *not* be a test, but you'll come away more edumacated, and steeped.
So you are from TN, do you know where Tiptonville is and who was from there? Give ya hint...hehehe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEsjt9DFjIk How cool was that?
Yes, I know where Tiptonville is, but that's 500+ miles from me. I'm much closer to Hotlanta, Charlotte, the Triangle, many Atlantic beaches, Louisville, Cincy, or even DC than there.
That said..........................I'm an admirer of his work and legacy - altho I'm not a 'true fan' of his stylings - in general.
