I play at chess.com where I think cheating is off the charts, lots of people feel this way so I quit playing games there and just play chess puzzles now. I have a puzzle rating of 2700 there but believe me that isn't as impressive as it sounds (the highest rated puzzle solver there has a rating of over 65000!!). They have a weird rating system (maybe scoring system is more accurate) for puzzles which I really don't understand. I also play puzzles on chesstempo where the ratings are more reasonable and the highest I've attained is a little over 1900, it's obvious that you can hit a ceiling there unlike the chess.com puzzle rating where the more you play the more you rating will increase and will probably never hit a ceiling. I haven't been here long enough to have what I consider my true strength as far as the elo rating so it only like 1570 or so and the more I play the higher it goes up. I feel like it will go up and up and up the more I play which to me isn't really an elo rating since there is no ceiling...again this is just a feeling and haven't been here long enough to have a firm belief on this. Has anyone here experienced hitting a ceiling here or does your elo rating continually go up the more you play? Side note, I only play 8x4 standard and do not play the more difficult variants here so maybe that makes a difference since if i played the more difficult variants I'm sure my elo rating would take a hit. I probably have the whole thing all mixed up but I am willingly to be educated...thank you.
At the moment your average streak is about 20 games. If you compare with other 8x4 players that win about 95% of games your ELO will probably level off around 1700 if your average stays the same. More play does not equal higher ELO.
