Lol @ that. (Red's post) Red, regarding your previous post on the previous page, is there a Virtual thingy for that? Made from just video from cams on the jumpers? That would be cool. The next best thing to being there. What was that last line a slogan for? Long distance telephone?

David does have a thing. As for virtural thingy, it would be great it they can recreate the tumbling of the body and g forces or the silence of the wind. I'd be putting my John Hancock on sales receipt right now if they had it.

There was one jump where the DZ was covered in a foot of snow. After I landed, I stayed down, and I let the wind take me about a hundred yards or so, before I collapsed my chute. I could've probably went for a couple hundred more, but the wind was taking me in the wrong direction. Now that was my most enjoyable jump and that'd be the one I'd program in first.

I think it does address Red's comment completely. Maybe he can splain since it was he who wrote it. Or Firenze can or anyone else because I'm not equipped, apparently.

Ok, so I'm going with it (your initial comment) was intended sarcasm or facetiousness? I mean.....here in "random posts", anything goes (so to speak, pun again intended), but I'm still missing the point, I guess. Oh well........

Even though it may seem like I was questioning David's manhood as worthy of being immortalized, I was not. Honestly, truth is stranger than fiction. I just keep thinking that this whole narrative about rights is leading to the total deprivation of rights. I'd hate to live in a society where finger pointing and snitching on your neighbor is the norm.

12 years tobacco free. A strong desire and lots of prayer is what did it for me, and it was like a miracle. Cold turkey and never wanted another one! The VERY influential Gordon Moore, who came up with "Moore's Law", and was one of the co-founders of Intel, has passed away at 94, and thus is not eligible to be in the "Alive in their 90s" thread. Many tens, or probably hundreds, of billions of dollars were spent based on Moore's Law. Impossible to overstate his influence. Remarkable prescience. "Visionary" is an understatement.

Having known Tom Petty when he was a loser, that song gives me a warm feeling all over. This is my favorite clip of Tom, and whenever he says corn I get hysterical laughter. Can't say why, not here. That would be disrespectful to his memory. It's become kind of like our secret joke. I'll never tell.

Well..........that FAMU thing was pretty neat. Never in my wildest dreams would I have associated FAMU with Louis Vuitton. I thought all the creators(??), models(??), whoever those youngsters were in the black t-shirts, kinda spoiled the mood and detracted from it and the end, but maybe that's just me. I also wanted to see a couple of those big red balls get rolled along the track knocking down spectators and band members, but knew that wasn't gonna happen. Actually I think they're more impressive with the whole band, on the football field, but......

Random post about randomness. This may help MrFixit solve the 'problem' of too many duplicate deals. As usual, review your vacuum energy/quantum mechanics chops if you need to. And I'm sure any day now the instructions for making one's own "integrated balanced homodyne detector" - which may or may not work as a new solver - will be available on that internet thang. ;) Click on the link "PRX Quantum" at the bottom for the original article.
