Cheers, I had the opportunity to beat my PB but blew it - my instinct told me to rack up a load of clubs but for some reason I decided to 'play it safe' and go another route instead. Of course, replaying the game confirmed that sending all those clubs home would've worked after all <sadface> Still, looks like it was a decent Christmas Day turnout, anyway!

Using cards would have allowed you to "learn the truth"!! I do it a lot!! I like to "know the truth"! I'm highly in favour of "using tools" -- it's how we evolved, and advanced, 🙂!!

I don't get it.....what was untruthful about me losing a game? Also, using actual cards sounds like an absolute chore to me, especially if you have a cat.

"The truth" was which was the winning line of play! Using cards is a "chore", imo! A very high price to pay (very slow, requiring great patience)! I do have a cat (Ellie), and she occasionally walks across my card layout! So, I give whatever attention she is seeking (food, to be let out, stroking), and then I restore the order to my card layout, and get on with winning the difficult game! Note: if I have let Ellie out, then I go let her back in! It would never work for tournaments, but it definitely improves my streaking!!... I thought you "cared" about "beating your PB" -- maybe I was wrong!? I choose not to go through life trying to make "lucky guesses", when a tool is available that eliminates the guesswork! I even use a navigator (Garmin) for driving, 🙂!!

That's been one of my favorite ways through the years to lose a streak. Plan something out, then make a switch or slight alteration - even halfway through - and then find out the alteration has a fatal flaw. TT, I don't think you are going to get any converts with that bit of logic. Sounds like we should allow bicycles, motorcycles, or even helicopters in the Olympic Marathon. Or, swimmer from Mongolia beats Michael Phelps in 200M freestyle using Skidoo.
