As to the previously discussed BK ad on the last page...

https://auralcrave.com/en/2026/04/03/teenage-wasteland-at-the-drive-thru-burger-king-fires-the-king-to-the-sound-of-the-who/

This is just PR hype. And Carlos is an obvious ai "writer". And sorry BK - the stuff you're looking for only works on the red side. But you'll have to be less subtle for them. Like, don't hire gays.

Oh, and more importantly, the food has to be good.

Lol. ⬆️ It follows the current trend of trying to disguise an ad as something else. ie a news story, or expert psychological analysis.

Lol @ "social media is going viral with it" is a tired PR hack. A certain ad on TV makes these claims and has for years, but I've never once seen it on social media. Of course I don't look at any besides the old folks' facebook so I'm no expert I admit. I'm speaking of the $14.95 cut-rate plexiderm trial offer.😆

Carlo may be a real person, but no guarantees. I agree that the aurualcrave article appears to AI-assisted because it was readable. And I  also agree that auralcrave is simply a revenue generator, providing exposure in this case to Burger King's new marketing.

I take issue with the article that the King mascot was "wildly popular" and is just now being seen as creepy. From day one the mascot was 100% creep, particularly in the early ads where he was peeping at people through windows.

No idea if the new marketing will work. Stupidity among consumers is universal -- they will believe just about anything, at least for a short time. A new CEO and new marketing won't make grimy BKs clean, the food seem edible, or convert surly service staff to cheery helpers.

I know the many on the left despise Chick-fil-A, but they really figured out fast food. They are everything BK is not with clean brick-and-mortar dining rooms, reasonably good food, and a lack of "who gives a sh*t" people taking your orders. All this despite a moronic PR campaign with cows imploring people to eat more chicken.

This is absolute. I had black cats my entire life until my current orange monster. I never experienced this reality until this guy. The cat on the left might be angry, and backing off is a good plan (The tail will be definitive.)

But, if the cat’s eyes dilate even while playing, the cat has gone into some weird instinctive state and is about to dish out some serious pain and damage. Do not turn your back on a cat in murder mode.

So many kids' video ratings: TVY, G, PG...shouldn't there be a bit more discreteness in rating adult features? NC-17 confused some...why not a new "(S)oftcore" rating?

Considering elevation, how much more diesel fuel does a loaded semi require to return? 10, 15%?

User: TNmountainman
Message:

I know you're not asking me, but likely far, far less than that, unless the westerly winds are really cranking.  That grade would be less than .1%; maybe less than .01%.  (We could calculate, but I don't care enough to do it.) The prevailing (normal) west-to-east wind would be a FAR bigger factor than the grade.

What if one does same between say, Atacama all the way up near Maccu Piccu?

I'll need to rethink that, Atacama's much plateau...

User: TNmountainman
Message:

Just do the math.  Elevation change divided by km.  That'll be the grade.  But I don't think semis go up to Machu Picchu.  Winds there can be either upslope or downslope, depending on the usual seasonal factors.  But of course around Atacama, "it's a dry wind".  LOL.

And I almost added this in to the Denver - KC ciphering....................one can have zero NET elevation change, but still have tons of grade in between the spots (thus more diesel usage, because of Second Law, etc.).  I didn't mention that for the original question because, well, Kansas doesn't have hardly any of that - to speak of.  In the Andes, it's almost certainly a different story - without looking at the map.

[edit:  And of course it depends on *which* kind of starling(s) one is talking about.  Snicker....]
