Spring training is wrapping up. How are things looking? Are the Cards in it this year? How about the Red Sox?

Pundits say that the Central division is the one to watch as the teams are all good and it should be interesting. The Cards are in that division and with the addition of Paul Goldschmidt (Goldie) I think we have a good chance this year. Thanks for asking and enjoy!

I don't follow the standing regularly these years, but have been remembering your prescient(?) prediction, and how true it's turned out to be. Ok, now the weirdness............ I was gonna come on this thread and predict that Khris Davis would NOT hit his ridiculously usual .246 this year. I had actually peripherally heard of him on a nice streak lately (I thought/think), so I went to see what he's hitting now, and was gonna predict that he would NOT hit .246 yet yet yet again this year. So guess what? He's hitting a robust .246. .jaw drop He's indeed been on a hot streak lately, hitting .360 the last 7 games to bring it up to said apparent physical constant. And no, I checked - that's *this* year - too. He's temporarily(?) injured, but if by some chance he didn't make it back this year, well........ THAT SAID..........I'm *still* gonna predict he ends the season somewhere that's NOT .246.

How dumb were the Nationals by giving up Giolito for an over-the-hill Adam Eaton...it was obvious from Day One dude would pitch *as he is now*...what, they thought they were strong enough at the top of their rotation? Not possible..........................................(Giolito for AL Cy Young?).

Lucas Giolito Fun Facts In the Majors since 2016 ... he just this season became a career .500 pitcher (Rec: 19-18), with a ROBUST (cough) ERA of 4.99. My favorite Giolito game was May 24, 2018 when my Baltimore Orioles scored 7 runs off him in 1.1 IP ... he also repeated this FEAT again on September 28, 2018 against the Minnesota Twins. The point being that it was NOT obvious from Day One that dude would ever be pitching at his current level. But he is a guy that will likely fill Fantasy stat sheets for the next decade.

Whatever the ChiSox have done with Giolito it is a far better than the Nats ... in fact, I cannot think of one homegrown pitcher they have developed other than 1:1 Strasburg, who was billed as a once in a generation talent when drafted.

To all BB fans. The Red Sox need a power right handed starting pitching. I said this at the beginning of last season; and they got a power starter and reliever, both righties. Too many of their starting pitchers are lefties. and I haven't checked the stats, but most batters are right handed. and they have to keep bringing up their very very good young players from the minors. We have had enough of Holt & Pedie. Play the youngsters. Plus Bradley is not a good hitter Those are the problems, let's see if they can fix them ejchap

Meanwhile, the Orioles had a triple-a pitcher with a 7.01 ERA. They could arrive at no better plan than to call the kid up to the majors for a spot start last night against the Red Sox. Yeah, somebody who can't get triple-a hitters out, starting in the show. What a surprise, they got shelled 13-2 and ought to refund the tickets of everybody who showed up to that travesty of a game.

Remember, EBW brought Earl back a few years after he retired, but it wasn't a success. Also, Casey Stengel couldn't do a thing with the expansion Mets for 4 years. Very little a manager, any manager, could do with a roster like this. I met Boog the last time I was at the park, and took a picture of him with my brother-in-law. Yeah, his stuff is good but not enough better than other BBQ places to overcome buying a ticket and watching an actual major league team curb-stomp one that, isn't.

Well, if you don't like BBQ, there is a small Italian sausage vender right across from Boog's, that adds sautéed onions and green peppers. Add a little yellow mustard to make a killer dog.

Shouldn't The_Revelator be weighing in on this knowledge? Seems to me The_Interpreter is getting out of his lane again. Is it possible that The_Revelator doesn't like Q, and is sending The_Interpreter to impart these truths(?)? And what Italian sausage vendor *doesn't* have sauteed onions and peppers? I always thought (correctly, I believe) Earl Weaver was a jerk, so haven't minded the O's having such a woeful stretch. (Sorry, joey....) But enough's enough, maybe. Karma has done it's work. Besides, it wasn't the O's who left town in the middle of the night. But unfortunately.............the city writ large has had to shoulder some of the residual burden of that transgression, it would appear.

While point taken.... 1) I think he knew what I meant. 2) Since The_Interpreter has lost his way/role/identity/path so many times, it's only reasonable to guess/presume that that could have, or indeed had, happened yet again. 3) Yes, and since the context was using "sautéed", that clearly was the intent. (Is it even legal to use non-sautéed peppers and onions on an Italian sausage in the vicinity of a ballpark? I.e., sort of a moot question, it would appear.)

You may want to seek advise from a professional concerning your somewhat obsessive, and, perhaps, unhealthy interest in The_Interpreter's "way/role/identity/path". The sautéed peppers and onions need to be done on a flattop to be authentic. A fry pan is a no-no.
