olblue was suggesting we move the Official Chat time back a bit. He says it used to get busiest around 8-10pm eastern. Course we all might be going to bed a bit earlier now too. How about weekends 5-6pm west coast and 8-9pm east coast? Think that would work better? Denny P.S. I suspect a large number of you are retired and you're going "weekend? what's a weekend?"

I also am retired so EVERY DAY IS A WEEKEND. Most any time between 10AM and 10PM would work for me however I still haven't seen any of the old logons except olblue and Denny

During the scheduled hour (but only during the scheduled hour), I wonder what the effect would be of signing people into chat after they've played a number of games. I like the idea of trying that once a week and only for an hour - not too annoying and there might be some people already chatting.

I tried "throwing them into chat" many years ago and folks hated it and immediately wanted an option to turn it off. And you especially can't do it now that so many folks play on tablets or phone where the 2nd open window is kinda an unknown.

And I personally hate those sites where you're going along and suddenly it pops up something like "sign up for our morning summary" or "don't miss future updates" or whatever unexpected thing they want to do to interrupt your flow. So for my little corner of the Internet I try not to be too obnoxious.
