Was fortunate to see this tonight, from way down here. The news report I hyperlink is just one of several. The below non-hyperlinked one gives a multitude of sightings with details - from all over the place. It was quite impressive, and my details match up with others: slow-ish, bright, throwing off "sparks". MUCH larger, even down here, than the small points most meteors are. It had dimensionality. So much so that I wasn't positive it wasn't a plane on fire crashing down. Called 911 to report it, just in case. One of the two major fireballs of my life. ☄ https://fireball.imo.net/members/imo_view/browse_reports

Can you imagine living so far outside the football bubble that you never heard of the cheezit bowl even though wiki claims it's been around thirty something years, and nope I don't have *the dementia*... I just like it outside the bubble... Congrats FSU

Whoever gave you that information was only partially correct. (No indictment on you considering you pay no attention to football) Thirty two years ago, the bowl was called the Blockbuster Bowl (as in the video store) and was played in Miami. It had four different names and changed ownership before moving to Orlando in 2000. It has operated under six different names in Orlando, landing on the Cheez-It Bowl in 2020. The bowl tends to get decent teams with loyal fans willing to travel to see their team play a final, albeit meaningless, game for the season. This year, highly ranked Florida State (9-3) played the reeling Oklahoma (6-6) in one of the worst mismatches of the bowl season. FSU needed a last minute field goal to narrowly escape.

"Based on our investigation, Mr. Renner's personal vehicle, which was being driven by a family member, had become stuck in the snow near his home," Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said. "Mr. Renner went to retrieve his PistenBully [snowplow] or snowcat, an extremely large piece of snow removal equipment, weighing at least 14,330 pounds, in an effort to get his vehicle moving. After successfully towing his personal vehicle from its stuck location, Mr. Renner got out of his PistenBully to speak to a family member. At this point, it is observed that the PistenBully started to roll. In an effort to stop the rolling PistenBully, Mr. Renner attempts to get back into the driver's seat of the PistenBully. Based on our investigation, it's at this point that Mr. Renner is run over by the PistenBully. An eyewitness detailed seeing Mr. Renner get into the PistenBully and not seeing him again until the PistenBully came to a rest in a pile of snow in front of his driveway. At this point in the investigation, we do not believe Mr. Renner was impaired at all, and we believe this is a tragic accident."--some local law enforcement agency He plain screwed up, with a seven-ton piece of equipment...least not drunk...

I was fortunate in that I had the opportunity to learn speed reading at a young age. I read the works of Twain, Poe and Uris. Classics such as Treasure Island, 1001 Arabian Knights, Robinson Crusoe, Swiss Family Robinson, Brothers Grimm., Uncle Tom's Cabin. Not to mention countless Bradbury and L'Amour's. That was all before I got to high school. A real bona-fide bookworm. Reading a broad spectrum really does give insight into having an open mind. You just never know where you'll find it. I just finished a book 800 pages long that I tried to milk as long as possible because I just didn't want to finish it. While there are still plenty of books left for me to read, I will never enjoy or be affected by another book as much as that one. Funny how you just know things.

It can be a heavy read if one is trying to analyze the character for a book report. Not for a youngster who's reading it for enjoyment. I consider books like Gone with the Wind and War and Peace to be heavy reads. War and Peace to this day is only book that I didn't make a dent much less finish. The former is quite a read. I'm not familiar with Dawkins.
