Okay - I know, that's not what he said. What he said involved a crystal duck - but the serious point is - for the sake of the story, you get to paraphrase. And forget how to count.

All very touching and he is definitely in there until... the last six words are:

Pretty much the definition of what Man should never say to Woman - or to co-dependent Man, for that matter...

I think what men really want is acquiescence. Of course they'll fall all over themselves denying that.

In what's *incredibly* ironic irony....................the poster who resurrected this thread is the same one who just months earlier, went nearly ballistic for others doing similarly.  Went ON AND ON about "necroposting".  And I mean ON AND ON.  But since then..........it's been quite a bit of "do what I say; not what I do".  Just pointing that out - again.

But..........to the 'other' issue at hand.................(and let me precede this with the statement that I fully get Helen's accurate point)............."common knowledge" (and make of that what you will, but it's 'been shown' over and over again) has indicated that it's *usually* wimmenfolk who think they can "fix", or "salvage" a man.  Published examples are legion.  And I'm NOT defending men here.  Only pointing out that IN GENERAL.............it's the woman who thinks she can 'fix' the man.  Just sayin'.  Just noting the 'standard', heavily-documented  counter viewpoint.  And we all know that a very high percentage of the time, that's a vain hope.  Most men when they get to the point of "needin' fixin'" are too far gone to fix.  YES - there are exceptions.  Nobody here's "stupid" - certainly not Helen. 

Finally......................outskirts's entreaty to others to post something is a clear cry that she misses BuzzClik.  Her grief is palpable.  Allow her her space to grieve.

The fact that she has lately turned to the "no apologies" stance is another matter, and I don't understand that.  She didn't used to be that way.  We could make guesses, but that's all they'd be.

Seriously, I don't understand your posts on this thread.  If you say that 'you are male, and also just don't get it', followed by what apparently is an assertion that what FC didn't get is something to do with what Helen said, then is it not fair that I conclude you misunderstood what we didn't get?  I think it's fair.  

And of course, I was not in any wise interested in discussing Helen's original post, so I'll leave that to you and TN.
