Message:Just updated to Firefox 4.0 on Mac OSX 10.5.8 Only ads seem to be legit, from sponsors, after game, on congratulations page. Ad vanishes when I continue playing, or leave game. I've been playing Freecell for 4-5 years now and never really noticed the ads -- they don't bother me.

Message:I have played freecell here almost daily for years and have NEVER seen any adds other than the relatively well behaved add on the "Congratulations! You Win" window (and sometimes the other one! :( )
I use firefox with pop-up blocker enabled, and flashblock, but no other blocking software. I use McAfee security.
I turned off pop-up blocking and flash block. Will let you know if I see anything.
I learned the hard way how to avoid ad-ware and spy-ware, which it sounds like some of these people have.

Message:Still no pop-ups or malicious ads. This definitely sounds like an Adware / Malware issue. A good internet security product would likely prevent this issue. There are also no-cost ways to remove malware. Check the link below.

AVG free Anti-Virus won't provide complete malware protection.
Not sure how good their commercial internet security product is - it might do the job.
The complaints above definitely sound like adware / malware.
A good Internet security is the best protection. For removal, check the link below.

Message:Yes, I get it. its not really a popup. more like a "pop-down." It hijacks the congratulations screen and shrinks it to one line before putting the ad in the bottom corner. once you roll over the add it hijacks the main screen and you cant get rid of it.

Never had a problem; I only get the ads on the "Congratulations" page and the only one I detest is when suddenly a man shouts "CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE THE WINNER OF......" Scares the bejeebees out of me! I don't think those ads qualify as pop-ups.
