LOL TN - don't you think that if I was Denny (or his wife) that I would have gone UP in the rankings rather than down??! It does give one reason to wonder tho'. The "d" and "b" are side by side on the keyboard, and look very similar except for the direction of the bump. I think, however, even though we have never met, that there is more than a "bump" that differs me from master Denny.

Thanks Turpin. AND congratulations to Pepsi_one and yourself who have moved up to 2nd and 4th respectively (Darkosi having dropped to 3rd, and TN to 5th). WHOOPEE! The last time that I was on top of this list was 1 November 2012 (about 21 weeks ago). Since then it has been exclusively either Mr TN..MUDstains, or Mr Darkosi at the top, neither of whom did very well yesterday (good to know that they have better things to do, at least occasionally). I am pretty sure that it won't last (me at the top). I fully expect Darkosi and/or TN to come storming back, and/or Pepsi_one or yourself to take over the top spot. We shall see... Next week it will be w4x10, which I think is the hardest of the ten winnable variants. After w4x10, which completes the cycle, I will post updated "Prolific" scores for the winnable variants only. @TN I tried 9363 and didn't find it difficult. It is now 33/2. I do find that some deals have moves that look very tempting even though the move will kill you. Such as a card sitting on top of a couple Ace's. This hand didn't even have that, so I'm not sure why there was 31 consecutive losses before a win. Just one of those oddities.

It has occurred to me that some games have bad stats because "losers" re-play them, and keep losing. Probably the 31 loses were *not* 31 different players.

Hottie and Fairy step one: make four moves before ever putting a card in the free cell. move two cards out of the 8th row, then move two cards out of the third row. The first card you will place in the free cell is the black 7. I have posted a screen shot of what the board needs to look like at 16 moves. I will post a couple more as well. Good luck

i doubt one player lost it 31 times, but can easily imagine it being lost many times by multiple players, possibly in a tournament. i'm on attempt three. its a tough game for someone like me because it lures the less cautious (and less far sighted) down dangerous paths.

I just went through it again, for the first time since the tournament, and I can see now that it might be tricky if one starts out wrong. Maybe I just got lucky by being *so* tired when I was playing it, and in a rush, to boot. ix, you nailed it. I started out right the first time, then I made a wrong move about 8 moves in (I now realize), and where I ended left me convinced I could not win if I piled up on the jack and could not get to the 3s. So, I abandoned that strategy entirely until pepsi_one's tip.

Nice late run by Tagkag to edge Pepsi_one..... I encountered several unwon games today, mostly level 6s, but this one had me scratching my noggin: 15273-6. Now 0/7. I'm sure it's winnable (duh), but I'm too tired to figure it out tonight. Also of some note is Gulbis, who's won 104 of the 105 W10x1 games he's played, one of only two players (the other being "crepuscule") with over a 99% win rate (with at least 100 plays), for W10x1.
