Randy Newman is an acquired taste and not for everyone. (I saw him in concert in a cozy venue in KC many ears ago … awesome!) 

This song epitomizes his “singing style” (mostly spoken word) and his lyrics. He is satirical and seldom serious, even though he addresses serious subjects. The Great Debate looks at many facets of current political discussions: divisive, personal, and polarized. Injecting himself into the lyrics is a departure but captures the intended tone of ugliness. Scientific or health discussions don’t stay on topic long. 

It was a great choice for the context of the discussion.

No, we're not seeing the same thing.  To me, the link still shows what I intended it to - which is the first one in that list you post:  It's a Beautiful Day, at Tanglewood, in 1970.  Also........I *think* at that same show, after they played, were Tull and the Who.  Haven't sussed (perhaps a new English word for you?) that out for sure.  As I'm sure you know, sometimes these things happen with international links.

I guess it's different for everyone. It says somewhere above "playlists YouTube makes for you".  So depending on personal taste, it becomes different for everyone.

It's kinda academic at this point, Hop, as while outskirts's post of Jan 14 06:04:10 2026 above apparently was *intended* for TN, since it immediately followed your post................it was looked like it was intended for you.  So your initial interpretation was correct - linguistically.  Even if that wasn't her intent.  I *also* thought it was intended for you, since you were the one *apparently* not knowing how youtube worked on such things.  But I kinda think you do, so she was off base either way.  Or that's how it appeared to the casual reader - and clearly to both you and TN.  She frequently is quite unclear on such things - but will deny it, of course.
