Not sure why, but this song was rattling around in my head today. Not the pop version that made the band lots of money but the acoustic that was true to their style. I find it haunting and moving.

That song set the hook for me for CSNY. I was first in line at the record store to buy "Deja Vu". I still own the album with the special textured cover that would be worth $$$ but the record store owner put a small slice in the album at the top of the pack with her box cutter, and I was more than willing to take the album for fifty cents off.

On that last one, the sublime performances of the jumpers in the background - especially the high-, long-, and triple-jumpers - FAR exceeds the quality of the music.  And I'm (mostly) not dissing the music........it's just that I'd much rather see more footage of the dudes doing scarcely believable things.  I spent 'some' time looking thru the comments for attribution of the athletes, to no avail.  I think I recognize a couple of them.  Perhaps our other tracksters here can nail them down.  Except that it's unlikely they'll see this request.

And, to me........it's sad that there are many hundreds of comments about the music, and the Pointers, but didn't see a *single* comment about the *real* jumpers.  I didn't plow thru every reply, but didn't even see a hint of such.  Sigh......

This lady was born in 1893, and began playing music with her (right-handed) brother's banjo, and is totally self-taught.  This song she wrote when she was 11 (ELEVEN!) years old after she was able to obtain a guitar, and I'm sure it'll be familiar to some, as it's been covered by Garcia, Dylan, Doc, and others.  She got married at 17 and started a family, so quit playing for 40(!) years, only to be 'discovered', kinda serendipitously, by the Seeger family when she began working for them as a maid.  And so had to sort of re-teach herself how to play.

In February 2021 Eric Clapton’s live shows at The Royal Albert Hall were canceled due to the global pandemic. Determined to play, he brought his band together in the English countryside. In the absence of a live audience, he decided to record the performances. This release is the culmination of their sessions together at Cowdray House, West Sussex, England.
