I almost responded earlier wondering if Rollie's was 'better'. His is in the Mustache Hall of Fame. (Yes, there is such a thing.) But Shalit's may be, too; dunno. Saw a pic and small story recently on Rollie, and yes, he still has it and 'it' does "appearances".

Some know this story, but some probably don't. He chose to retire rather than shave it off for mean ol' Marge Schott and her crew. This era of Cincinnati teams, including the Big Red Machine, is why I usually still refer to them as the Rednecks, and can't support them because of that legacy.

Since Willie did successfully make it to 90 (April 29th), as celebrated for 2 nights at the Hollywood Bowl (see outskirts's post about that back in Jan. in this thread)........here's a little snippet of the old codger with a young codger 1/3 his age (who was at the birthday bash).
This is a bit too country (and contrived(?)) for me, but its mostly presented to celebrate his official, successful arrival as a nonagenerian.

OK, he’s not 90 yet, just 86. Ms. Bombay was watching an old movie from the 1970’s (The Last of Shiela) and I recognized Richard Benjamin. Couldn’t remember his name but IMDB spit it out when I searched the movie title. He was in lots of movies back then so I googled him up and he is still married to Paula Prentiss!!! WTF.
They’ve been married over 63 years! That has to be the record for Hollywood marriages. Lots of Hollywood couples get kudos for being together half as long.
