Message:Aaron Rodgers neither...football skills sure, but he seems a tad too smarmy at times, and one can't be smarmy on Jeopardy and yet be much adored by very many.
I propose Rupert Sheldrake as host, though he does talk/read in a rather too casual manner for reciting the answers to Jeopardy! questions...still, he be a way worthy intellectual...

Message:I watch the noon version of Jeopardy which is just reruns of nighttime Jeopardy, a few weeks later. So, now they're having some playoffs and taking a break from the regular, which is in the middle of Cris Pannullo's streak. I think he has about 11, and I googled to find out how far he went.
So anyhow, he knows everything but there was a question that no one got that I knew! I got a question Cris Pannullo didn't know!
I think it was something simple, like the Pussy Cats album.
Cris should be the permanent Jeopardy host!
I seriously despise MB as host while still loving her as an actress.
I can barely stomach KJ so I've learned to ignore him like a laugh track.

Message:When you don't know the answer on jeopardy you can figure it out from the clue they give. Once again I got the final jeopardy that no one else got. Quid pro quo ☺️
Didn't hurt that my granddad taught latin and greek (Cornell level) in the (late) 19th century, and that my dad loved all those latin phrases. And I took a year of latin. I didn't know the answer but it wasn't hard to figure out.
Originally this (latin phrase) meant to substitute one medicine for another in a prescription.

Message:James had a huge daily double and was up 30,000+ for final jeopardy while Matt was in the red and couldn't participate. James could not be caught by Mattea. Still it was very entertaining to the end.
Andrew had beaten out Amy and Sam in the first game.. I'm paying more attention to names now. I think I got that right.

Message:As for Ken or Mayim, the original question. . . . If I had to choose, I'd go with Ken. I may not love him, but he makes fewer lame jokes than Mayim does (yes, the cringe factor). I really can't think of a good alternative. Whoever mentioned Levar may be onto something. Anyway, I wish they would find somebody new.

I was an avid listener of Dr. Demento's radio show back in the late 70s early 80s. Weird Al's songs were played every week, and they were literally recorded in his bedroom in his mom's house -- and sounded like it.

And the "questions" were way harder than the usual, all the way through!

Message:I’ve been a fan of Jeopardy since 1984 when Alex Trebek became the host (another Canadian, don’t ya know!). But this Masters Tournament was the absolute best, the all time best! Great players, great questions, great chemistry between them all, and such incredibly good sports, from start to finish. I’m sorry its over!

I remember it from the 60s when I was in jr high (middle school now) jeopardy came on around lunchtime and my dad worked nights so he was a fan from day one. Whenever I stayed home from school I could play along too.

Message:I remember it too from then, but we had a similar local show called Reach for the Top which involved high school students, and I watched that instead. I only started really getting into Jeopardy once Alex took it over. I actually didn’t think it would survive his passing, but I’m really glad it is, and seems to be here for the long haul. :)

Message:Jennings did a great job of fronting the tournament. His credibility as a player seemed to resonate with the contestants, all of whom were formidable.
I particularly was impressed with Jennings's being mindful of the players' preferred pronouns. Most people don't get bent out of shape if you forget, but they are generally grateful when you remember. Considering the personal struggles that Mattea endured during the process (the passing of their father), Ken's attentiveness to their preference was probably helpful.
