Wow, NBC is only broadcasting the Chiefs game on (Friggin’) peacock. Clearly an abhorrent attempt to get viewers to subscribe to their lame streaming service. I’m guessing all the NBC Local affiliate stations will be up in arms. We’ll be talking millions in lost revenue for the local affiliates across the country. I’m curious to see how this unfolds.
I also was aghast, miffed, and more than slightly perturbed at this. Could hardly believe it. I hope the backlash is brutal.
I heard that peacock subscribers were forced to pay 5.99 to see the game!
there was no additional fee if you were a Peacock subscriber, the 5.99 is for 3 months of Peacock
more people watched Dallas lose than KC win
Maybe because Dallas lost? And no one will be watching them at all?
(The Cowboys will continue to dominate the media conversations about NFL, regardless of their 10+ years of abject futility.)
The Bears gave much greater competition versus GB than them Cowboys did...(somebody in NE Wisconsin obviously knows what the **** they're doing).
......except that they tolerated Lomardi.........
I don't think there's anyone left from those old SBI and II teams...(HOFer Bart Starr was a superb person, superb QB, and exceedingly average HC--while HOFer Forrest Gregg was sort of sneakily underhanded (payoffs for injurious actions taken, and such)).
Personally, I miss the old days: when HOFers Don Hutson and Curly Lambeau could take control of a game with their flashy use of the FORWARD PASS, bedazzling CHI player-coach George Halas to no end...ahhh, the memories...
What a shame Chester Marcol weren't place-kicking for Green Bay yesterday.
"Marcol may best be known for his game-winning touchdown in the season opener in 1980, at home against the Chicago Bears. The Packers were tied 6–6 with the Bears after regulation; in overtime, a 32-yard pass from Lynn Dickey to James Lofton helped set up a 34-yard field goal attempt to win the game. Marcol's kick was blocked by veteran Alan Page and deflected straight back to Marcol; he caught the ball, ran around left end, and was able to make it 25 yards into the end zone for a 12–6 Packers victory.[6] He later acknowledged that he was high on cocaine during the game's second half.[7]"--Wikipedia
Everybody has a bad game or a bad call here or there sure, but let's not forget the great, HISTORIC season put together in Detroit by HC Dan Fontes and his staff.
I know what you mean Buzz - Taylor winning in her rookie year is pretty darn special.
