Following a previous trend in selling exclusive rights of sports coverage to a specific medium: I was looking for any televised sporting event to have on in background while doing some mundane computer tasks. The Yankees/Orioles was the only ongoing MLB game, but I noticed "Roku" given as the broadcaster. Earlier this week, I acquired a low-end "Roku stick" to see if I could get some Canadian tv stations. Sure enough, Roku has the game, and no further apps or subscriptions are required. Just pressed "play" and the game popped  up. 

No idea how long this has been going on or what the future holds. 

That CHC RF not named Tucker is awful defensively...if your off. WAR is +3, but your def. WAR is -3, it's no wonder Counsell (finally) put dude at his sole playable position: DH.

But regarding JR Richard, a tall, right handed *SP* gunslinger, 6"7' 199lbs. throws ~25 times >100mph/outing...whew!

Scheduled to go up against Cy Young Award-winner Paul Skenes on Wednesday...I suspect Brewers' win by whacking Bucs' relievers...

We've visited abhorrent fan behavior before. Another case. 

Was at the Diamondback/Blue Jay game last Wednesday.  Near us was a family of four: mother, father, three-year-old (age guess) boy and a baby.  Three seats at $250US and they can't afford a babysitter?

Is that $250 *per seat*?? 😱😳😱😳😱😳😱😲😲😲

If they are "normal" seats, probably not $250 each. firenze can address this.

However, the babysitter thing is not a matter of cost but "cutting the cord". Young parents these days seem to be terrified at the thought of letting a teen take care of their kids. The process of convincing parents to put their toddlers in daycare, even just a few hours a week, is a level of weaning that is hard to understand. 

(Ever been around a "gentle parenting" couple? Holy sh*t.)

No, have not been to a major league game lately...........and looks like that won't be changing.  Yeah, it's a free, laissez-faire/fare(!) world we live in, but dang, that's messed up.  As is a lot of laissez-faire stuff, imo.  I vaguely remember a discussion of concession prices on another thread (?) not too long ago, but don't remember such ticket prices being discussed.  These way-beyond-exorbitant salaries - and thus ticket prices - are just one of the stumbling blocks to being a baseball fan these days.  That seems to be even worse than the 'merely' beyond-exorbitant concert ticket prices out there. Sigh.......

I have been to Chicago Cubs games annually. Tickets aren't $250, but they are somewhere around $100. But we sit back about 20 rows from the dugout. 

I see a AAA game pretty much every year. The same tickets firenze described will cost $83. I won't pay that for a minor league game.

If I happened to be in Beantown at that time, yes I'd like to see a game there (and I love Fenway), but wouldn't swallow that.  $259 for a seat about as far away as one can get in Fenway, is NOT "an amazing deal".  I guess the world has passed me by.....

firenze sent us the SeatGeek listings. The game is not sold out, and good seats are still available directly. Field Level box seats for $433, including fees. The nosebleeds in right field go for about $150. Bring your opera glasses. 

I've been in those seats - I think - or certainly in the general vicinity, and it was fine, as Fenway is one of those intimate parks, relatively speaking.  It's *possible* I've still got a ticket stub or two from there.  Bet it was under $12-15.  And no, it was not lately.
