This just looks at the current game and player Elo values and computes the deltas for a win or a loss. This does not know about the exact values from before the play which will obviously be different. Further the game Elo delta is adjusted by an specific factor which attempts to take into account the average difficulty of the variant as well as the frequency of plays of that variants.

With more info about the game variant we would be able to "walk back" and figure out the incoming Elos and do a more accurate calculation, but the intent was just to show approximately the expected deltas for Elos in the range of the player and game.

But it's still useful to see what the approximate expected outcome was given the player's Elo and the game's Elo and from that see how the 8 point per game Elo is allocated.
