How the yukk can beer possibly taste good if it's only got 2.6g carbohydrate/12oz.? I'm suspect.
Read carefully:
..........and then be aware that our guv'ment is going to shut down the world's main CO2 level recording station on top of Mauna Loa - or at least that's the plan.
Steve Milloy has been telling us for literally decades that current CO2 levels are nowhere near the high levels in the ancient past. And he is 100% correct. His interpretations of this information have now been fed into the great garbage disposal of life, but c'est la vie -- he will be unfazed. To quote Dr. Science: "I'm not a real doctor. I have a masters degree -- in science!" "Soldier on, Steve, soldier on.
I picked up "DRUMSTICKS" at the store...delicious.
In capitalism, and particularly artistically here in the USA, people can make stuff that seem far too vulgar to even consider--but--I'm sure somebody wants to make a horror film about dealing with Texas' recent natural disaster...
Some odd things help people to cope, or to gird oneself against the unexpected...
Indeed. It is safe to say that you redefined the idiom, “gird your loins.”
Apparently I've gotten crosswise with the Indiana Toll Road (and those who oversee the collection of fees). Although I haven't driven in Indiana for over a decade, I apparently owe them money. They have been sending me threatening text messages demanding immediate payment.
Over the past couple of weeks, I've received a series of "final notice" texts telling me I'll be arrested soon. Funny how Indiana outsourced their collections to someone with a +63 international code. Can I be extradited from Canada to Indiana by someone in the Philippines? We'll see...
This is the kind of hard-hitting international intrigue upon which freecell dot net got its investigative reporting chops and cred years ago - and which has sorely been missing lately.

Colbert doesn't need to worry at all, dude merely needs to open in Vegas, since parodying himself will have 'em rolling in the aisles.
You are correct, sir! The Colbert Report was really successful, and it was pure parody.
OPINION: only one person should be allowed to compete (for ELO) with more than one nick: the leader of all ratings, since then you're not taking someone else's spot who *labors* for it...I suppose maybe <1500 it's no big deal, but dude, yeah you, you know who I mean, you're cheating the candidates of at least FOUR spots...more than one nick fine, but let the others drop from posting due recent play, two being possibly a settlement...one man's opinion, otherwise whatever smart guy...
It's understandable if one is always an arse-buggering bloke and doesn't know the difference, nor cares to take attention to such.
Hm. My Elo is on page 19 of the rankings. I believe that this is the first time I've bothered to look. Does that qualify me as "an arse-buggering bloke <who> doesn't know the difference, nor cares to take attention to such"?
"An internet troll is someone who intentionally disrupts online communities by posting inflammatory, offensive, or off-topic messages, often with the goal of provoking a reaction from other users. This behavior, known as trolling, can range from harmless attempts at humor to malicious acts of cyberbullying."
"Self-awareness is the ability to understand one's own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how they impact oneself and others. It involves recognizing one's strengths, weaknesses, and how they align with one's values. Essentially, it's the capacity to focus on oneself and one's internal state, including emotions, thoughts, and motivations, and how they influence actions and interactions."
Thanks, Chrome AI!
The first weapon of the Internet troll is to accuse others of what they're doing, after getting a sufficient reaction to point at.
My posting here has been ragged lately. I had to proof my posts three times and still found annoying typos. I turned on Spell Check for Chrome, and that should help.
I have gotten so lazy with such things being the default in Word.

The number had expanded to 60 per day, and I was considering deleting that email accout. As a last measure, I considered Mike's advice. Also, if I never subscribed to daily emails about metal roofing, why would they honor a request to "unsubscribe"? New strategy: Block sender, move the message to junk.
That is helping. My spam mail is back down to about 15 daily. It's still a bit of a war because these folks seem to have a million domains, so I can only block they one they are using today.
In the meantime, let me know if you are interested in seeing todays's "horrifying video" or receiving a daily update concerning the drama between Elon and Donald.
I had my first experience in a driverless rideshare vehicle a couple of nights ago. I needed to go about three miles through downtown and across the interstate to a place with limited parking. So, Uber it was.
After completing the normal data entry for my destination and selection of my choice of "luxury" level, I chose the cheapest option. When I was connected to my ride, it was a Waymo, the driverless cars I've been seeing for months. I was a bit squeamish at the thought, but I didn't have time to cancel and choose another.
When the car arrived, I couldn't get in. It was a Tesla coupe with the handles that are flush with the car body. I was able to coax the handle away from the car, but it was locked. My instinct to knock on the window was quickly dismissed as pointless. With no other options, I peeked at my phone (with the app still open). A popup message said, "Your ride has arrived. Press here to unlock door." I pressed, the handle popped out, and I was able to enter. Ok, boomer.
A disembodied voice greeted me, advised me to buckle my seat belt, and asked me to press "Start" on the touch screen in the back seat. And off we went in dead silence; being an electric car, there wasn't even engine noise. We took only back streets and slowly snaked our way across town. The GPS screen in the back seat showed all the vehicles around the car, the presence and color of stoplights, and a green line indicating our route (zoomed in). Most of the cars along this circuitous path were other Waymos.
As we approached my destination from the back door, Miss Disembodied Voice implored me to wait for the car to stop, check the surroundings to be sure traffic was clear, and told me how to open the locked door to leave. I reflexively said goodbye but was met with silence. The Uber app had me rate the trip but did not ask for a gratuity.
It was an odd experience. My ride back was also in a Waymo, but it felt a bit more routine. I spent more time examining the GPS screen (that also shows pedestrians and animals) and marveling at the extreme solitude.
Altho this could go in the "Bad Google!....." thread, that doesn't quite seem to be this - at least yet. But it's *almost* as disturbing - and yet I know it's become a thing:

Our little book club decided to hit a blast from the past: Silence of the Lambs. I have a bunch of credits from Audible, so I had it instantly as an audiobook, but I like to read a physical book. I found a used copy for $8 that was purported to arrive in seven days, so I ordered it. We were scheduled to discuss the book this weekend (2 weeks after I ordered it), so seven days was fine.
The week passed, and the seller finally claimed to have sent it 8 days after I ordered it, so it was going to be tight as to whether it arrives before our discussion. Now, they just added another 7 days to the projected arrival. They are supposedly using USPS for delivery, but their tracking number is not recognized by the USPS tracking system as existing.
Why is this okay? I am canceling the order (the seller may reject my request).
We were fishing for like, ~10 oz. rock bass and sunfish...but dude had like 20 lb. test line, it was funny.
Buzz, I have to buy books new. Can't stand the idea that somebody may have read the book while sitting on the toilet.
Okay. That is an image that will never go away.
Assuming it ever arrives, that book is going straight into the recycle bin.
