I happened to have been wearing this Dali shirt the other day and took a picture. I cut the top off for obvious reasons. Lol.

The Eye is something Dali did in '45 for the Hitchcock film Spellbound. Got the shirt at the Dali museum.

That (torso) Dali is what was done to the Black Dahlia.

Her body's pose was intentional on some gruesomely artistic level.

It's about Dali and Hitchcock's collaboration for Spellbound. Not all that heavy on the factual side either.

Sorry the links work sometimes and sometimes they don't.

Not to get off on a tangent, but the scary thing about ai writing is that millions of people fall for it, think it's beautifully written, enough to say so on obvious ai garbage that is basically, stolen.

BTW, the murder obsession is off my radar, as are true crime shows, podcasts, reality shows, talent shows, housewife shows, etc etc etc. in fact I didn't like Mark Harmon for years because he played Bundy, which I did not watch.

I have a copy of a famous b&w photo of Ali standing over Liston in the ring, on my dining room wall. He is my hero who surpassed his chosen field and went stratospheric IMO. Also a watercolor of a grand house I once lived in done by a friend who, when I saw it, I said "omg I lived there" and she immediately presented it to me! Lots of other stuff on dining room walls besides Dali. 1000s of feathers, and tree branches with goose eggs hanging on them. A Dali Magic Cube! I live very humbly tho.

Not disingenuous.  Truly didn't think of him.  Maybe I should have, but didn't.  Especially since it was of a genre you don't watch - or that's all I had to go on.

And quit saying "subject closed" when it may or may not be.  Not your decision to make.  Agree that it (mostly) is off-topic - altho some would make the case that a miniseries is art.  I imagine that *could* be true, but since I've never seen or heard of this example - not qualified to say.

And as to Ali..........we distinctly remember you referring to "some big fight" in Africa when Bob Marley was doing a giant concert there in South Africa, clearly oblivious to the fact that a MEGA fight was *the* event there at the time:  that being Ali vs. Foreman.  But you had no idea "your idol" was the "main event", so to speak.  ALSO.............one could well make the case that Ali's life - certainly including that fight - was a large, large, "work of art".  That fight influenced 100's of millions of folks (billions?), in some way reverberating even today in some circles.

But hey, I was a giant Ali supporter, too - so not knowing that the Marley & Wailers performance was 'in concert with' THE fight would have been literally inconceivable.  So the additional knowledge we have now that he was your "hero" makes that lack of awareness even more stunning.  And believe it or not...............that's not a knock on you - just a recognition of that incongruity.

I counted the Dalis in my dining room. And there isn't a lot of wall being open air and glass door. There are 8 and I have more. I've seen most or all of them in person. I let the crowd go ahead with the guide so I can be alone with them. Some are quite huge.

At the Dali museum they let me go ahead of the crowd, which is even better!

So this is the way the "shiny, new moderator" is gonna hold court.  OK - but explanations and guidance would sure be appreciated.  That was always the problem earlier - nobody knew what/where exactly the line was, other than Denny's vague (but overall, adequate - most of the time) stricture.  There was never any feedback or published guidance when something was deemed over the line.  We would hope that there would be more clarity now, but apparently not?
