That's a huge difference in wording. If I am PREPARING to go to work, I'm knocking about the house maybe having a cup of coffee, getting dressed, shaving, etc. If I were WORKING, I'd be doing my job at the place of business. For someone who is a stickler for details, it seems odd that "preparing" was left out when it completely changes the basis for the discussion. Were we then lied to because we were not told they were "preparing" to gather ... possibly ...some time down the road?

In fact, some of my favorite threads of all time have had Laffman's and Jeff's input. There was one, once, where Laffman pretended to be "aw-shucks" and unlearned. (But he certainly got his point across!) It was a hoot!
I do recall 5-10 years back when we had such as Laffman, Jeff, jcj, BuzzClik, libby, WRAC, and numerous other NetCellers posting regularly. It was a kind of Renaissance time.
That's not to say we don't have some great posters here, now, though. Because we certainly do.
